Interchange of Assertive Sentence & Exclamatory Sentence
Almost all the competitive examinations have the English Language section, which includes the questions based on Exclamatory Sentences and Assertive Sentences.
An Exclamatory Sentence is a sentence that expresses strong emotions. An Exclamatory Sentence always ends with an Exclamation Mark (!). An exclamatory sentence is known as Exclamation Sentence or Exclamative Sentence.
उद्गारवाचक वाक्यात हर्ष, खेद, आश्चर्य, तिरस्कार, भीती, दु:ख इत्यादी मानवी विकार व्यक्त केलेले असतात. त्या वाक्याला उद्गारवाचक वाक्य असे म्हणतात.
✧ Tips: Consider the following elements.
1) Exclamatory Sentences often begin with What or How to emphasize an emotion.
2) Exclamatory Sentences usually end with Exclamation Mark (!).
3) Exclamatory Sentences are always Affirmative. (होकारार्थी वाक्य)

Ex. Meena is a very clever girl. (Assertive Sentence)

✧ Rules to make Assertive to Exclamatory Sentences.
1) If we find an article A or An in the given sentence, begin the Exclamatory Sentence with What.
Ex. Meena is a very clever girl. (Assertive Sentence)
Ans: What..........( 1st Rule)
2) After writing What, write the next remaining sentence which is next to Helping Verb or Verb.
Ex. Meena is a very clever girl. (Assertive Sentence)
Ans: What a very clever girl.......(2nd Rule)
3) If we find very, really, extremely, great etc., remove these adverbs from the sentence.a
Ex. Meena is a very clever girl. (Assertive Sentence)
Ans: What a very clever girl.......(3rd Rule)
4) End the sentence with Subject + Verb/Helping Verb + !
Ex. Meena is a very clever girl. (Assertive Sentence)
Ans: What a clever girl Meena is! (Exclamatory Sentence)
Remember:
Write the article 'an', if the next word begins with a vowel.
1) It is a very interesting storybook.
Ans: What an interesting storybook it is!
