too...to / so...that
Remove too...to | so...that
You are always asked to replace so...that in the place of too...to. The meaning of both sentences are same. It does not change. Here the meaning of the word 'too' is so/very. Therefore, you are asked to replace too.
There are 3 Types of sentences:
Type ❶ If Subject (Doer) is given
Type ❷ If Subject (Doer) isn't given
Type ❸ Structure of 'for + Second form of pronouns (Ex. for me/ for him)
➤Present Tense ( am/is/are= can not or can )
➤Past Tense (was/were = could not or could )
Let's see according 3 types:
Type ❶ If Subject (Doer) is given:
Ex.1 Ramlal is too fat to run fast.
Ans: Ramlal is so fat that he can not run fast.
2. Somnath was too tired to work.
Ans: Karuna was so tired that she could not work.
3. He is too proud to beg.
Ans: He is so proud that he can not beg.
4. Mohan is too ill to wake up.
Ans: Mohan is so ill that he can not wake up.
5. She was too clever to fail the exams.
Ans: She was so clever that she could not fail the exams.
Type ❷ If Subject (Doer) isn't given
Ex.1. Bag is too heavy to carry.
Ans: Bag is so heavy that we can not carry.
Ans: Bag is so heavy that one can not carry.
Ans: Bag is so heavy that none can carry.
❷ It is too dark to see anything.
Ans: It is so dark that we can not see anything.
Ans: It is so dark that one can not see anything.
Ans: It is so dark that none can see anything.
❸ It was too cold to go out.
Ans: It was so cold that we could not go out.
Ans: It was so cold that one could not go out.
Ans: It was so cold that none could go out.
❹ The problem is too difficult to solve.
Ans: The problem is so difficult that we can not solve.
Ans: The problem is so difficult that one can not solve.
Ans: The problem is so difficult that none can solve.
❺ The medicine was too bitter to drink.
Ans: The medicine was so bitter that we can not drink.
Ans: The medicine was so bitter that one can not drink.
Ans: The medicine was so bitter that none can drink.

❷ It is too dark for us to see anything.
Ans: It is so dark that we can not see anything.

❹ The problem is too difficult for them to solve.
Ans: The problem is so difficult that they can not solve.
❺ The medicine was too bitter for me to drink.
Ans: The medicine was so bitter that I can not drink.
